Joining the AAA Club We always welcome new members. To become a member we require you:- * to attend 2 of our AAAC general meetings which are held the 3rd Friday of the month (except for December). * to meet the Membership Secretary who will give you a Membership Application form and answer any questions you may have about the club. * to go on one of our Monthly Club Runs which usually happens on the Sunday following the General meeting. By doing this you can meet the members of the club and we can get to know you and your vehicle. Once you have attended 2 General meetings as a visitor and been on a car club run the Membership Secretary will propose you as a member of the club at the first available Committee Meeting. The club secretary will advise you once approved and then you able to enjoy the advantages of club membership including the Historic Registration scheme. Note: You can join up as Pending Member prior to qualifying as a member. Do this by filling in the membership application form and paying the treasurer then you will begin recieving the monthly newsletter and be aware of the events occuring in the club.
Membership Fees Nomination Fee $10 - Also known as the joining fee. It is a once only charge to defray administrative set up costs and contribute to capital costs. Annual Fee $50 - includes full or family membership including children to 16 years of age. N.B. Annual Fee is reduced to $25 for people joining between January and June). 2023/2024 MEMBERSHIP FEES DUE At the March General meeting, members were advised of the Committees recommendation to increase the fees to $50.00. In terms of the constitution, any changes to the membership fees needs to be agreed by 2/3rds of the membership at the following meeting. At the April meeting, the motion was passed by a vote of members exceeding the required 2/3rd of members confirming the fee increase. These fees are now being accepted and are due by the end of June 2023. A late fee of $10.00 applies. It would be appreciated if all fees are paid on or before the June meeting. Any member not intending to renew are requested to let the secretary know. Payment options include: -Cash or cheque at a General Meeting. -EFT transfer to the Clubs … |
